Registrations open for free training in January 2013

Dec. 28, 2012, 8:10 a.m.
Upstream University organizes a pro-bono training January 19th & 20th in Paris, ten minutes walk from Notre-Dame. Anyone willing to spend the week-end learning how to better contribute to Free Software projects can register.

Upstream University was funded with the goal of improving the contribution skills of anyone motivated enough to spend some time to learn and improve. Companies such as HP, eNovance and Cloudwatt retained the services of Upstream University for the benefit of their employees. They were the first to understand the immediate return on investment ranging from long term maintenance to technical discussions with the project leads.

What if someone is willing to learn how to better contribute but does not have financial support from a company ? For them, Upstream University will organize pro-bono training sessions throughout 2013. The live sessions will happen during week-ends so that it does not interfere with the participant day jobs. The first one will be January 19th & 20th, 2013 in the center of Paris, a lively area with many opportunities for a nice lunch and drinks in the evening. There will be a maximum of four participants, first come first served.

Since this is a new format for the Upstream University training, we welcome ideas and feedbacks.
